I was in a morning write session in Nashville with my producer Hayley McLean and co-writer Molly Brown. I said to the girls, “I think I have every story I want to tell on this record except for one...I want to write a song about my husband and our life together. We had been together for over 20 years and had a big beautiful life as business partners and parents to seven amazing kids. But I can’t put everything he is to me into one song”. And they looked at me and said “that’s it, that’s the title....everything that’s you”.
